It’s Men’s Health Week, part of a month long campaign to raise awareness of health issues that affect the men and boys in our lives. And it’s not just a man’s issue, as it impacts wives, sisters, daughters…men’s health really is a Family Issue.
And, as with all changes, starting out with small steps can make a big difference-steps like healthier eating, take the stairs instead of the elevator and adding at least one fruit and vegetable to every meal. And getting regular screenings by your healthcare provider, including blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol, prostate health and more. Many health conditions can be prevented or detected early with regular check-ups. So, encourage the men in your life to make health a priority. Anyone can be unhealthy, but it takes a man to take charge of his health and get moving!
