Spectrum Healthcare is dedicated to providing COVID-19 testing to the community we serve. Please see below for some common questions.

General Questions

Who can get a test?
ANYONE! If you need a COVID-19 test for any reason we are here to help. Just follow the directions to pre-register and we will get you tested at a location of your choice. We are dedicated to ensuring that first responders, healthcare professionals, Spectrum patients and the community at large is tested when and where they need it.

 

How do I get set up for a test?
We made it as simple as possible, to fit into your busy life!
Click on the link below that says Register for a Test. You will be prompted to enter insurance information and demographic information. If you are paying with cash, credit or debit card you will be asked to pay at the time of your test. After the registration is complete you will be sent an email with locations and a phone number to call to schedule your test.

 

What do I do the day of my test?
After the registration is complete you will be sent an email with locations, and a phone number to schedule your test. Call that number to get a time set up for testing at your chosen location. When you arrive the day of testing call and let us know you have arrived and a specially trained medial professional will come to your car and perform the test.

 

How and when will I get my results?
We will call, email or text you with your test results. If you need a hard copy of your test results you can access it through the patient portal. A link to the patient portal is located in your pre-registration email you will receive after you register. It is important that you provide an email address at the time of your pre-registration to ensure you have access to this.
If you have a rapid test the results will be available same day. If your test is sent to a commercial lab results will be available in 2-4 days.

 

Where can I get tested?
We have four locations across Yavapai County that will have testing available for your convenience. Those locations include:

I don’t have insurance and I do not have the means to pay for the test, can I still get tested?
Absolutely! We have alternate payment options and funding available for anyone who needs the assistance. Please ask the medical professional who performs your test for more information.

 

I was told by my employer, school or another agency to get a tests at a pre-determined location. How do I proceed?
It’s simple! Click on the link below to pre-register. Give as much information as possible to ensure your experience on the day of testing is efficient. Then show up for testing as directed by that agency.

 

I am not feeling well. I want to know if this is COVID-19, influenza or another illness. How can Spectrum Healthcare help?
Give us a call at 928-634-2236 OR 928-778-0330 to schedule an appointment with a medical provider for evaluation. This visit can be performed virtually or in the office, and any testing required can be collected from the comfort of your car at one of our locations after the virtual visit. The provider you see will give you instructions. We have rapid influenza, strep and RSV tests available.

RAPID TEST QUESTIONS

Do you have a rapid COVID-19 test available?
Spectrum Healthcare is excited to announce that we have rapid COVID-19 testing available! We will be offering an FDA approved rapid PCR/NAAT test for active viral infection that has the same level of accuracy as a large lab, but get results back to you in under 15 minutes!

 

There are many rapid testing options, what makes this one different?
Rapid COVID-19 testing for active infection falls into two categories: molecular and antigen.

Antigen testing detects proteins that are on the surface of a virus. Antigen testing is a great way to quickly determine if someone is positive for COVID-19 specifically if they are symptomatic. Antigen tests that are negative must be confirmed with molecular testing, if the suspicion of COVID-19 is high. Spectrum Healthcare has plans to add this testing methodology to our available options in the Fall of 2020.

Molecular testing includes methodologies such as RT-PCR and NAAT, which check for the presence of the genetic material of the virus. This test is considered the gold standard and gives a highly accurate definitive diagnostic test result.

Spectrum is proud to offer one of the only FDA approved rapid molecular tests available on the market today.

 

How much does the rapid molecular test cost and what are my payment options?
Your payment options include cash pay and insurance reimbursement. If you have active medical insurance and you provide this information at the time of registration we will bill your insurance for the test. You will be responsible for any portion of the bill that your insurance does not cover. If you would like to pay cash for the test the cost is $85.00 and you can pay at the time of registration.
